Kavanaugh even lied about his connections to Yale: “I have no connections there. I got there by busting my tail.” See this yearbook. He was legacy; his grandfather went there. What pathetic perjury. https://theintercept.com/2018/09/29/the-unbearable-dishonesty-of-brett-kavanaugh/ …pic.twitter.com/NvzyYfGfEX

He’s claiming here that he got into Yale Law School with no connections. YLS certainly took into account in the 1980s if you were legacy. On second thought, I don’t think he was lying. I think he truly believes he hit a triple, even though we all know he was born on third base.

Brett Kavanaugh boasted, under oath, that he got into Yale with no connections. This is verifiably untrue—granddaddy went to Yale. In this thread, I’m going to explain the bullshit that is legacy admissions.

10% of my high school class went to Notre Dame. Many of them had a lower GPA than me and and all of them had lower SATs. The difference? I wasn't a legacy nor did I have connections at the university. The whole system is deeply nepotistic.

Indeed. And for reference, the prep school I am referring to—and attended—sends over 1/3 of its senior class to the Ivy League. 15 Harvard, 15 Yale, etc.

It's scary how often powerful lie when they must know that the information is out there to refute it. Something is seriously wrong about that. Power & Privilege = anything goes.

Kavanaugh said no connections helped him get into Yale, but his grandfather went there. HOWEVER, unless his grandfather actually DID something to help Brett get in, Judge Kavanaugh's statement is 100% accurate.. What is your EVIDENCE that his grandfather helped him?

That yearbook is from 1928. So... 50+ years before Kavanaugh applied to Yale Law School. Which his grandfather did not attend. "Perjury." I'm not sure that I agree with ya 100% on your police work there, Ryan. https://twitter.com/ryangrim/status/1046162360321363969 …

A rich kid that I knew, who worked for a current US Senator, once responded, "I bought it myself, I cashed in stock my dad gave me" when asked if she had purchased her new car on her own. You almost feel sorry for the super- rich.

Yale law puts zero credence in legacy status during admissions. In fact being white and male and Christian is a hindrance. Surely you know Dicersity has been de rigeur since the 70’s
