The question of the headline’s accuracy is separate from the one Grim is making. The WS is not nonpartisan, as he pointed out, and it does have influence on how a given article is handled, which is his original claim. Please reconsider your assessment.

This is a professional class of fact checkers circling the wagons, defending their turf, no more, no less. It is absurd on its face to allow a stridently conservative outlet to “fact check” a liberal one. Will they certify me to fact check the Weekly Standard? Why not?

My observation (and unfortunately limited experience) of you as an editor suggested that you were driven more by establishing facts & evidence than a predetermined story based upon ideology. That said, I don’t think using aligned outlets will generate trust in their decisions.
