Hey, it could be worse. Facebook censorship could be in the hands of monsters at the Atlantic Council, like Henry Kissinger for example! Wait. Nevermindhttp://fortune.com/2018/05/17/facebook-atlantic-council-election-propaghanda/ …

@facebook Why The Weekly Standard? Why did you approve as your “fact-checking” group this ultra- right wing outlet with no fact-checking experience? They have clear bias. You respond to whiners instead of making unbiased smart business moves. What is your problem? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@facebook Fix this. Weekly Standard is not impartial and has their own agenda and biases. If you don't fix this you will lose us and our data. And you NEED us and our dataThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The Weekly Standard had the weakest "fact checking" in the Iraq war years and somehow its regarded as credible now?? Wtf travestypic.twitter.com/vtJVCY3zEA

Wonder if she also calls the head of the NRA or the CEO of gun manufacturers a monster?! Or does she only care about human life as long as they're in the uterus?!

Yeah... I have a FB adblocker and only use FB for friends and family. No politics. Eventually, everyone will be moving in that direction. If it gets too bad, people will leave. It's that simple. Remember "MySpace"?

The tweet sucks but is there not a distinction to be made between an "outlet" and an editor's twitter? In any case, Rachael Larimore is not the Weekly Standard's fact checker. That's Holmes Lybrand
-
Found another element here: http://www.niemanlab.org/2018/09/with-liberal-and-conservative-outlets-fighting-facebooks-fact-checking-program-shows-more-cracks/ … The online editor saying *they* would change the rating if TP changed one word. So it seems editorially controlled, not in sole hands of fact checker.
-
idk, I still think conflating her twitter with her outlet is just...iffy. I don't think a political person necessarily pushes their personal beliefs in a fact-checking role
-
Depends whether someone's an opinion or news writer or editor? And she's not a fact checker. The issue that the fact checker clearly has oversight from editors to override or change judgement seems worth considering. Not knee-jerk reacting, but seems like an issue.
-
OK sure. Although I don't really think what you're saying is quite the same as what the Intercept guy said

-
Probably! I do find the "personal" account issue problematic when it's the same one someone uses as their official one—remains ongoing complexity. Staffers should probably have personal and professional ones and label them as such (PIA, I know!)

Confused use of "too". Should be "to". In fact, just drop the word "too". Avoids ending a sentence with a preposition: ENGL101.
