I mean I think her opponent being a long time incumbent who outspent her 10 to 1 had more to do with her loss than not taking the same train as you and Jill Biden

This is truly outstanding. It's good to know that the "accurate" representation of a politician is the one you guys determine. And if people have a different impression, it is the fault of local media. Not, say, that you - national reporters -- are perhaps wrong. Good to know.

What exactly in Carper's record that we've reported is inaccurate, Neera? His co-authoring of the bankruptcy bill, his boasting of the largest prison expansion in Delaware history, or his vote to make English the official language of the U.S.?
-
Or is his dragooning in of federal pre-emption of state consumer protection laws in Dodd-Frank inaccurate? Or is his leading role in welfare reform inaccurate? What's inaccurate?
-
I could keep going but it would be perhaps more useful if you could name the inaccurate claim.
-
I would add that it's deeply contemptuous of Delaware voters to presume they care about none of this because one time they saw Carper buying eggs at the supermarket.
-
If you agree with that by all means say so. Or just maybe people don't know anything about it, because policy reporting in America is completely desiccated, perhaps due to the utter contempt oozing from savvy local political reporters

News Journal was bought by Gannett & bled white. Combined w/ Craig list, internet, upstate journalism is on life support New Castle County has no commercial TVnews. People n Greenville/Hockessin know more abt Broad St in Philly than Broom in Wilmo NCC is news desert next to PHL

The debate, for instance, was not televised! That’s not a criticism of the local media, it’s an observation that the local media is not sufficiently informing the public. I can’t see how that’s remotely a controversial statement.

And if you think Chase or DuPont employees below the executive level are proud of what Chase and DuPont do and want favors showered on them, you're not talking to the actual workers, just their bosses. Plenty of Harris' volunteers worked for those very companies.
-
Yeah, you guys looked "real, real hard" while cranking out propaganda for the Harris campaign. I don't know when The Intercept became The Daily Caller for the left, but it's disappointing to see a site who had a legitimate mission devolve into partisan shilling.

Come spend any time in this state outside an election cycle and you all might learn anything about what Delawareans care about or what motivates them in elections. Carper and Coons, their records and actions, have bene reported extensively. You wouldn't know from two minutes here

Or she lost because people like the guy willing to go over their house for dinner to discuss what matters to them. The reason y'all keep losing is because you don't target right, you don't show up at the spaghetti dinners, and you don't walk the walk.
