This is pathetic from J Street. But good to know where they stand.https://forward.com/opinion/408498/j-street-withdrew-its-endorsement-of-rashida-tlaib-heres-what-it-means/ …

That’s a totally valid argument, but I think that’s more a reflection of the winnowing range for J street to be relevant than it is about whether they should rescind an endorsement.
-
Nationalizing the means of production does not seem particularly workable, but I don't see people giving up on that so quickly

Okay but that’s in opposition to the core position of J Street. Maybe she’s right! But that doesn’t mean she’s entitled to endorsement from an organization she fundamentally disagrees with!

The two-state solution is dead. If J Street hasn't adjusted accordingly, that seems like a problem to me. That means this is less an issue of Tlaib and more an issue of J Street needing to adjust to political reality, particularly after Israel just passed that nation-state law.
-
A lot Jews myself included loathe the Nation State bill and are hoping the backlash causes Israel to retract it.
-
The idea that within a month of a bill passing which we believe could still be reversed that 2 state advocates would totally reconsider their worldview is unreasonable & unrealistic. We want peace &self determination for all but we still see the ugly persistence of antisemitism
-
People thought the two-state solution was dead before the nation-state bill, though, due to the settlements. I mean, this is something that Obama and Kerry were saying on their way out of the door. The nation-state law just seems to provide more confirmation.
-
I think a lot of that was unfortunately the result of the rejection of the 1999 Ehud Barak proposa and then Sharon's death. Since then the sides have become more entrenched in their Stances
-
My attitude is definitely that domestic politics will ultimately determine this issue. We Americans only have limited leverage - certainly that any president is going to realistically use - so I just hope to see more of what we see in the nation-state law protests.

"I would agree with not burning down all the forests in the world if it would work, but I don't think it is" is not the same as agreeing with the Sierra Club
