Whenever governments goes after the press, they find examples that will set a precedent but have a unique set of facts that dissuade the rest of the media from defending against the assault. Assange is perfect for that, we're all sitting back and watching them boil us.

Wrong. Sweden dropped its "preliminary investigation" in May last year because exculpatory evidence emerged from the women's phones ("Police made up the charges to get him", "felt railroaded by police"). He was never charged. See http://justice4assange.com

Also the UN ruled in Assange's favor https://www.ohchr.org/EN/NewsEvents/Pages/DisplayNews.aspx?NewsID=17013&LangID=E … . Why is it so hard for american "journalists" to respect international law?

What about him facing charges from the Americans who he decided to release their phone numbers, addresses & social security numbers. Or the dealing in stolen property, or facing charges that already exist? Do these things not matter to you?

When has the US said they want to extradite him?
-
They haven't, but Assange has been claiming that's why he can't answer rape charges, and his fans have been accepting that without question.

How do u explain him asking for political favors from Don Jr. as he was releasing only half the stolen data (democrat) to benefit the cmpgn Don Jr. was working on. You assholes never answer for this. Journalists don't behave this way.
