On @thedigradio, @Ocasio2018 floated idea of militant progressive sub-caucus: “If you can even carve out a caucus of 10, 30 people it does not take a lot, if you operate as a bloc vote, to really make strong demands.” Story by @ryangrimhttps://theintercept.com/2018/07/16/ocasio-cortez-floats-a-sub-caucus-of-progressives-willing-to-vote-together-as-a-bloc/ …

She’s on her way to Kansas to help a shapeless moderate white man unseat a more progressive Native American LGBTQ advocate. She’s not ready for prime time.
-
Lmao "shapeless". Way to fat shame asshole. Not to mention, it takes 5 minutes to look between both of their platforms to know that Welder is more progressive by a mile. Your identity alone doesn't automatically make you a progressive.

It is a primary. She is campaigning for two white men who supported Bernie and in KS03 against Sharice Davids a Native American woman with local and national backing. If she wanted to help flip the districts she would be campaigning for the Democrat in the general election.
-
AOC is campaigning for progressives who share her platform, like Welder, Thompson, and Cori Bush. Davids is running on the deficit, middle class tax cuts, small business tax incentives, "facilitate the opportunity" for college (whatever that means), and not Medicare for All.
-
I get that Tom Watson, that 'Mr Weeks' guy, and several other dubious twitter personalities have tried to invert the framing of AOC + Sanders campaigning FOR progressives in the midwest into "AGAINST" a 'native American lesbian' (or some variation of that), but it's about policy.

She complained when outside Democrats campaigned for Cuomo in the primary against Nixon in New York so it seems a bit hypocritical. Also, is there support for her policies in KS? In the IL03 primary Bernie’s endorsement hurt a progressive candidate.
-
KS03 is a conservative district that is listed as competitive but leans Republican. The attack ads against a Democratic Socialist endorsed by Bernie will write themselves but a more conservative Democrat might win.
