Kevin de León stuns Dianne Feinstein, wins Democratic Party endorsement in a landslide https://interc.pt/2uAwE0y by @ddayen
Do you read past the headlines? The whole critique is that the strategy Dems are clinging to has led to failure and should change. Is that not objectively true?

So you are claiming you called DNC support of Clinton a "scandal" because you thought it was not the best strategy? That is not what the word scandal means. And it's not consistent with the regularly repeated claim from Berniecrats that the DNC was supposed to be impartial

Which strategy? The one where they back the candidate with the most popular support within the party?

Wait, I am a California voter, and we overwhelmingly voted for her in the primaries, you are saying the party elites should overturn our votes, like superdelegates? You approve of that now?
-
There was no primary. Don't play dumb, nothing is overturned. And you can refuse to vote for every Latinx on the November ballot if you want to, nobody will stop you
-
The California primary took place on June 5, 2018...
-
Right? There was no primary, what the hell.
-
And who is refusing to vote for Latinx candidates? Absurd.

SO when Feinstein's seniority places her in the most important committee positions, sending in a newbie to take her place who will likely not have her advantages is good strategy? this reasoning is probably why Dems lose, there is no thought about the bigger picture.
-
Seniority doesn't matter in the Senate.

It's just based on winning and losing? I seem to recall a lot of discussions about it being dishonest and cheating and so on. Did I get those wrong? I still hear lots of discussions about how the DNC stole the election from Bernie. That's more than strategy, right?
