I think we need to also ask who they would support instead. I say offer them 5 options, 1) Barbara Lee, 2) Barbara Lee, 3) Barbara Lee, 4) Barbara Lee, 5) Barbara Lee. I think that narrows it down enough.

Tough options, hate to choose, but I am gonna have to go with number 3.

Are you saying he's a TOTAL NEWBIE? Our lives depend on people who know what they're doing.
-
Our lives (or at least our way of living our lives) depends on our representatives acting in our interests.

But who will replace her, I get that she has problems, but she is better then any of other leadership people in the caucus who are mostly old white males.

I defy anyone to tell me what policies she supports

She is a committed progressive, with the EXPERIENCE & knowledge necessary to get things done without breaking rules or ignoring precedent.

No one has the knowledge, experience of a well-rounded House who also knows the rules like Nancy. The fact is, she has an impeccable record of service, & did more in 2 yrs than either Boehner or Ryan...BY FAR. And she builds coalitions.
-
She also is an out of touch millionaire. Why is it she votes for the things that help her make those millions?

Jess King has literally no chance of winning. What are you talking about?
-
Other than that, none of these people are particularly clear on whether they're saying they would support a Democratic challenger to Pelosi in the intra-caucus leadership election, or whether they would refuse to vote for her for Speaker if she won the leadership election.

What happens if Pelosi wins the "primary" ? Could there be a republican speaker even if dems have a majority?
-
Which ever party has the Majority gets the Majority speaker position. Which ever party isn't the gets the Minority speaker position.
-
If enough dems refuse to vote for Pelosi, republicans could have more votes if they are unified and win the speakership vote.
-
That isn't how it works. Currently Nancy is the Minority speaker because Dems are the minority. They will have a speaker no matter what. Just depends on if they are the Majority or Minority as to which one.
-
There is no such thing as minority speaker. There are majority (McCarthy) and minority (Pelosi) leaders. There is only one speaker (Ryan), who was voted on by all members of 115th Congress, and he got most votes. Pelosi might not get most votes, even if they win in 2018.
-
Ok I stand corrected. Still doesn't matter. If Democrats don't get the Majority in the House they don't pick the speaker of the house.
