Why would PP support Emily Sirota over their own former political director? Choosing between two progressive candidates that both support PP, makes sense to opt for their political director, right?
-
They normally stay out of races between two good candidates and focus resources on beating anti-choice Republicans
-
Do they normally have their political director running, then?
-
Sure, that could certainly explain an endorsement. They have never spent this kind of money in a primary though.
-
Same question. How much do they normally put behind their political directors? You have two variables here.
-
Would be a noteworthy use of funds either way.
-
No funds for their political director would also be noteworthy. Noting it is one thing. Drawing conclusions while eliminating a gigantic uncontrolled variable is another. Not a crime, but a mistake.
-
it's really pathetic how this incredibly obvious variable isn't even *considered* in Grim's 'journalism'. Grim is not so much doing journalism as he is pushing a narrative that lacks proof, which is sadly par for he course for him.

You should disclose you conflict of interest Ryan. At this point this is just plain dishonest.
-
Ok, disclosure: I previously won a Planned Parenthood journalism award for an investigation into the coordinated right wing assault on an organization I consider the most important in the country. But great orgs can make bad decisions.pic.twitter.com/rJS2zshfo4
-
How about you disclose that you and Emily Sirota’s husband and colleagues and friends working for the same organization? That would be a good start. Or is that too much to ask?
-
A. Emily is not David. I’ve never met Emily. B. David and I don’t actually work together, though I’m a fan of his journalism
-
You are colleagues working for TYT. Basic disclosure 101 suggests you need to disclose this, why hide it?
-
Last time: He’s not at TYT. The fact that I am a contributor there is in my bio
-
Then ask TYT to update their website. Nonetheless, a disclosure that you are/ were colleagues would be nice. If any other reporter didn’t provide a full disclosure Intercept and yourself would be pillorying them for days on end.pic.twitter.com/bUnzCq2Oip

Seriously, Ryan? Emily Sirota is a fine candidate but this is untrue. The PP endorsement went to
@amwheeland b/c she won 47% of the caucus in a 3-way race and she's a former PP policy director -- a fact you conveniently left out of your story. -

I just don’t like that he got Reality Winner caught and doesn’t give a shit about it

I did background research on election security for that article, but where do you get the idea I don’t care about her fate? She should be released immediately.
