The TLDR of the @replyall story:
(1) When the govt took over the media, Russian journalists flocked to LJ as a place to post free speech...
(2) Putin tried to shut it down with paid trolling. Didn't work. A govt official had an LJ blogger beaten into a coma with a lead pipe...
(3) nevertheless they persisted. So suddenly they just bought the entire company and moved the servers to Russia so it could be controlled
(4) Now the Russian govt has access to all user's data, and every post must follow Russian censorship laws (5) Yes my TLDR joke was intended
Well i tried to re-blog that on LJ and it's been so long that I couldn't post without agreeing to the new ToS
Don't agree! I blocked comments just to reduce the tempation to agree.
P.s. We met in <lj comm="too_much_info">
Sorry it's all behind a shady TOS wall now! Also sorry to the Reply All team. Didn't realize that Twitter would tag you in every response.
(I don't know if you remember, but I worked at Six Apart back then. Thanks for this.)
You're quite welcome. If you know any fish, kiwi, birds or huskies that need comics you know who to call.
Is there another way to read the comic? I get this when I load the page

Ummmm what? Is that an add on the page, or are you not getting the page at all?
It's an ad pop-up that I can't seem to dismiss! I got about 3 seconds of the page. Get it every time I load.
I can't read it because they have their atrocious AUP sitting on top of the page. They still want me to sgn or log out.
I just ad blocked it away.
I can't believe they want me to sign out several months later.
