I just don't understand the throttle, @WarcraftDevs. The 8.3 AH was redesigned in collaboration w/goldmakers to fix server load issues.

They want to discourage canceling and reposting auctions. That's the point of the throttle, so it is doing what it is designed to do. If you just post for 12h and let things expire you'll rarely run into issues.

That being said, I'd still like auctions that were posted hours ago to not count towards the throttle count. Constantly canceling and reposting an auction is an issue. Canceling auctions that you posted hours ago once before you call it a day should not be an issue.

Personnaly on an heavy server, i was hopping it was longer... I agree this is not the solution. Personnaly i would do something like : cancel auctions make 1 hours to get into the mailbox.

I have reduced my bag space to under 100 because of the throttling and need to change most of my auctions to 12h even though I rarely cancel them. This is hurting the once or twice a day people in addition to the all day AH campers. Collateral damage should be reduced.

its LIFO, but yea people that post after you at the same price have priority. This was done so they would reduce the need for undercutting.

2 possible solutions would be to not restrict older auctions like
@BilisOnyxia mentioned and also introduce buy orders so gold makers can fill them vs reposting constantly. As I understand it. They are trti g to prevent canceling not posting. Which is not that big of a deal for most AH people

They are also throttling posting, just not as hard as cancelling.
