A Kubernetes Kubelet written in Rust to run webassembly applications on wasm-based runtimes instead of a container runtime. 🤩

We have a responsibility to ensure that our actions and the products we build benefit everyone on the planet – and the planet itself. That’s why today we are making new commitments to address climate change.

If you come to from a C++ background, what projects, exercises, and resources besides the book and "Learn Rust with too many linked lists" did you find most useful for getting a good grasp on the language?

If you are a C or C++ programmer somehow still on the fence about whether or not you should take seriously, consider this piece from Cliff Biffle an absolute must-read:

My project for the holidays is learning Atari 2600 (and by extension 6502) programming. My goal is to create a Snake clone. Turns out someone beat me to it 42 years ago...

I was curious what assembly code produces both in debug and release mode, so I wrote a blog post about it. If you want to learn more about assembly and Rust give it a look!

All of us writing C and C++ are living on borrowed time. The only safe future is Rust. Prepare your code to go out of scope.

Anyone have any good tips of conference talk ordering? Should you mix technical and less technical talks? Do technical talks first and then less technical after or vice versa? Group related topics or spread them apart?

I've seen a code base that takes ~10 seconds to rebuild when changing something small. The reason seems to be that the compiler struggles with long type names (which can happen in highly generic code - like iterators). It's not a deal breaker but it's still an issue.
