    California has a monopoly on all of the warm, dry coastline in the US, the largest market in the world. This monopoly means that the government doesn’t have to function - people, money, and industry will keep flowing. Like Middle Eastern countries that can dig for oil anytime.

    The largest driver of economic immobility is rising cost of the 3 H's: healthcare, housing, higher ed. The default response by some is to increase gov't subsidies to consumers. But doing so just leads to further price inflation and spiraling need for even larger future subsidies.

    A magic book’s method has taught kids of all socioeconomic levels nationwide how to read, fast, for 50 years. Yet the ed school world considers it controversial or at best as just one oyster to put in the stew. Why? I discuss here.
