Heard she always tunes all the strings down a minor 3rd and then tunes up a half step and capos at 6th fret to get the proper string tension she prefers to the traditionally setup guitar. I read it in the Shakira issue of Guitar Player.

Interesting non-linear conversation at the supermarket. ‘Excuse me, I hope you don’t mind my saying, but you have your bike helmet on backwards.’ ‘I used to be in the fucking SAS, mate.’

Londoners, if you’re struggling today, remember this: Tomorrow you’ll wake up in a European city, where hundreds of languages are spoken and every race, religion, class, country and culture are represented. London will always be European, and London will always be open.

Craig Taborn (left, in near darkness) infused a dozen Royal Academy of Music students with a very special spring-loaded energy as they played his pieces in tonight’s concert. At times, like a very good Mingus band on speed. A spectacular sound.
