We don't teach critical race theory in grade school. We teach history. We want kids to be able to understand and analyze history after hearing diverse perspectives, to be engaged citizens. Our teachers have gone above and beyond over the last year to keep students learning and keep them safe. We want safe and welcoming I. Person schooling this fall w/ a focus on literacy, civics, math, science, and well being. We want our kids to get their mojo back.
For whom did your union reps go “above and beyond”? Not the students. America’s public schools trailed the world (and America’s own private and charter schools) in in-person learning and student outcomes.
Where do you get your misinformation? Do you just make it up?
Most private schools and many charter schools were in person since August of last school year. We had a small handful of isolated cases that could all be traced to places outside of the school environment. It was safe. Time to go back full time in person everywhere.
The private schools that were open in my city had more quarantines and many more confirmed positive rates for covid.
Absolutely true. When I was holding my "Red for Ed" sign last fall at the "die in" accusing the governor of killing teachers by reopening schools, what I really meant was that I supported in-person learning. Or are we calling it "I. Person schooling" now?
