    Ecclesiastes 9:17 applies to preaching as well: Words of God's wisdom matter most, not noise, fanfare, power, or display. Pastors, whether or not anyone else notices today, give God's people a clear exposition of God's Word

    There is a strain of thought among Christians which fears enjoying life too much. It's well-intended but severely misguided. This sermon by on Ecclesiastes 9 is very helpful on this point
