We apologise if our A&E is very busy this evening. If you’re not sure you need A&E, you can always call NHS 111 for advice on your options.

Keep your eyes 👀 peeled for Carol (right) and her falls prevention trolley when on corridors and wards at Aintree. Carol is the hospitals Falls Prevention Specialist Nurse and is using her trolley and its gadgets to educate & prevent our patients from taking a nasty tumble 😊

Patients usually feel better if they are out of their nightclothes and in their normal clothes whilst in hospital so if you have a relative in hospital, bring in some clothes for them so they can feel more themselves 😊

Please only visit A&E if you your condition is very serious or life-threatening. If it isn’t, you will more than likely have to wait. Give NHS111 a call for advice on what to do and if needed, they can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist, pharmacist or GP.

Our frontline staff work hard but people like Dr David Raw, an anaesthetist at Aintree, are working in the background so it was nice for Dr Raw to read a letter to him and his colleagues. Watch this touching video, guaranteed not to put you to sleep! 😴
