@rustyshelf running any kind of business is tough, not just software dev. There’s a reason sayings like “you have to keep hustling” exist.
I know plenty of devs who are struggling in every business model. Paid, IAP, Ads. Being indie is not easy. There is no silver bullet model

@rustyshelf some devs just ignore it because of the early financial gains of app stores. It’s hard work creating anything and succeeding. -
@foadafshari very true, a lot of people assume that a software business is somehow different to other kinds of businesses.

@rustyshelf I personally don't believe any competitive business environment can have a silver bullet. Then everyone'd do it and destroy it. -
@rustyshelf as a user I would sort of want a "kick-starter" on Google Play. I need X money to improve the app. Transparent, open, simple =) -
@rustyshelf paid updates would be a very helpful way for app stores to let developers monetize
