I love how version by version @rustlang is eliminating all the most common pain-points it had. This fast and user-driven evolution is one of its biggest advantages compared to the agonizing design-by-committee approach of older languages.

Rust has 1 compiler, builds only for one system (LLVM), used only by 1 corporation (Mozilla). Older languages aren't like that. They cannot make changes without everyone's permission, otherwise people would be mad.

Rust has multiple compilers (though one official one), has 1 system (though another system in in the works) and is used by many companies, including well-known ones like Google, Facebook, and more. Mozilla doesn't control Rust and cannot make changes to it directly.

(We also have basically the same stability policy with regards to changes, regardless of the governance aspect)
