@Razican is CERN using Rust? I mean is it a significant project or a prototype thing?

CERN uses Rust in small stuff: we used it in my department a couple of months ago for a small tool, for example, but it's not yet used for advanced data processing, it was discussed, though. The most prominent reasons are the large codebase in C++ and the lack for advanced SIMD.

I should clarify about SIMD: no AVX-512 support in stable Rust to be able to use intrinsics at pleasure yet.

I think those haven’t been implemented yet https://doc.rust-lang.org/nightly/std/arch/ … but should be quick to stabilize once they are since the design was finalized

That's what I thought, the progress is amazing in any case! Rust is more and more a powerful language for high performance computing :) great work!!
