It is really great how you can organize your code and futures using actors.

Well with compiler support for coroutines we shall get good alternative. What's wrong with actors though?

I'm sure you're aware but without GC polymorphism is much more difficult outside of compile time. The benefit of GC helped a lot with that in FP languages, but for Rust it is not so easy... HKT ?

Yes, HKT is an open research question in a language like Rust. However, we are getting ATCs, which give you similar powers!
