Officially, I'm doing @rustlang for memory safety, ownership and borrowing.
Unofficially, I'm really just here for SerDe.

Have been told memory safety ain’t that guaranteed in Rust. Personally, I join Rust bandwagon because of how easy it is to write code with decent performance.https://twitter.com/aloiscochard/status/969540287931600896?s=21 …

functional.cafe/@alois @aloiscochardJust faced a memory leak with#RustLang, if you use this language seriously you better have to understand what `Vec#drain` is doing behind the scene. I did use it for a circular-buffer: very bad idea... https://doc.rust-lang.org/nomicon/leaking.html … https://doc.rust-lang.org/nightly/nomicon/vec-drain.html …Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Memory leaks are memory safe, to be clear.

I’m confused. Do you mean the link I’ve posted is wrong?

The link says a leak. You said that means “not memory safe.” Leaks are memory safe. That’s why you can get them in safe rust.
