kinda, but it's different. With null you are making assumptions without knowing about it, at least with Option / Result you are aware.

Yeah I'm fine with it when you're building something fast, but when it's hidden deep inside some library code that's a real antipattern

nah, it's like an assert. If you already made sure something is a certain way, then it not being this way later is a bug in the code.
