One thing I appreciate about @rustlang is that you use the same language to write application and library code (cf. C++ app and STL code).

Shared libraries default to the system allocator (not jemalloc); loading, running from a Rust binary (jemalloc default) causes a freak out.

Good to know, means you can't expect jemalloc's fragmentation resistance when shipping a library...
