Controversial idea time: what about a (compiler?) option to, optionally, interpret full name keywords as well? -
Have you ever programmed in Java? IMHO the concise keywords of Rust seems to reduce the cognitive load that it takes to understand what is written, less boilerplate letters which doesn't add to the logic of what is being done, I felt the same with Scala
