We do! Rust was originally created to be a part of Firefox, so http is a big deal. The standard library is kept minimal on purpose though; you should use a package.

oh! thanks for the reply! well, it's just that there's no "official" solution in the core or standard libraries. the crates i've found just feel like a bunch of competing standards, which is really intimidating to just "go with one of them" it feels wrong?

We hear you. We’re working on trying to provide advice in a way that doesn’t play favorites. Check out “reqwest”, it’s quite popular for this.
