How I'm learning Rust: 1. Google "xyz in rust" 2. Find three abandoned GitHub repos named xyz-rs ruxyz and something quirky and random 3. Pick one, update the deps, write a few tests 4. Fight with the compiler for hours 5. Start writing up a PR, get bored, pick new xyz, repeat

Probably it's very easy explanation. There is not that many companies that want to share their rust code, they would rather keep it for themselves. Plus there is not that many hobbyist. I feel it is just numbers, bigger number in other languages.
