Rust friends: what's the state of regex in Rust? What implementations are there: PCRE? JavaScript compatible?

https://github.com/rust-lang/regex is the go to crate for it, also one of the fastest regex around.

I don't know it's compatibility with JS regex overall, I've rarely been surprised though. Only missing features are look ahead/behind that I've tripped on, but I very rarely have a use case that feature.

I think JS regexes use very different pattern matching to PCREs which is what the crate you linked implements. This would be for use in a json-schema parser/validator library so this detail is unfortunately important.

Ah then I'm no help, sorry. If you toss
#rustlang in questions, usually@rustlang account will retweet them out to the greater community. I've gotten some good answers that way in the past.2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes
