      "We understand that not everyone wishes to switch to Discord for many reasons". So, why using it and worst forcing people to use a close source software to join the official channel? It's not like there's no other option out there.

          Each team is allowed to choose how they organize. Almost all teams chose discord. One chose Zulip. One stayed on IRC.
