As I'm writing more @rustlang, I'm getting frustrated with the disorganization of its documentation. It was a really weird choice to not alphabetize functions in the docs. @elixirlang does this really well. As a beginner its really difficult to find what I'm looking for

There’s a tradeoff here, but also, I’m curious: have you used the search bar? If you know the name already it should take you right to it

Of course :) The main issue is when I want to see whats available for a module. Its a bit difficult browsing a module and trying to see whats available by name

My previous example might not have been that great. Maybe I've been trained this way from two years of working mostly in @elixirlang, but when I go to a module's documention that I'm not familiar with, I like to scan the available functions/methods and get a feel for the API

That gives me a quick understanding of the surface area of the module. Not being in alphabetical order makes it harder for my brain to quickly jump around while browsing, especially while I'm in the "getting to know you" phase

It’s important to mention that the Rust docs are also comprehensive, readable, and approachable. This gripe is important in my opinion, but on the whole Rust is doing an excellent job of producing great docs 👏👏👏
