Man, @rustlang is just phenomenal. I do a lot of data modeling from CSV files and rust + rust-csv + rayon = 💥 Processed 205,206,117 rows of complex CSV data while doing a lot of aggregation in < 30 seconds, and I didn't even optimize anything yet!pic.twitter.com/k3wbqc6FOy

The compile time was this 360 seconds on the second image?

The second image is just the output of the Linux time command. Not sure how compilation speeds compare with Go.

Do you remember the compilation time of your project?

Sure, here are the timings: # From scratch (building program and all dependencies) cargo clean && cargo build: 29s, cargo clean && cargo build --release: 44s Incremental build after a small change is around 2s, but my program isn't large.

Thank you for sharing! Rust is a great language for sure and I love what people say about it's efficiency, but I found those compiling times terribly long... I'll continue with Go until the designers improves Rust

We are always working on compile times but we’ll never be as fast as go. Our compiler does a lot more. Like everything, it’s a tradeoff :)
