I just went looking for a #rustlang crate, hoping that someone had written it.... and it turns out someone had.. ME.
How do I forget that I wrote an entire crate?

Crates are Rust’s prepackaged shareable libraries

*technically* packages distribute one or more crates; a crate is an individual library or binary. In C or C++ terms, a crate is a “translation unit”.

hm, so if I "cargo install foo" and foo was just an executable, it would be 1 crate, but if it also came bundled with a library, it would be 2 crates?

“Cargo install” will only install the binary crate regardless if a library crate exists
