At work we're using Actix and it's good. We were getting about 300rps with DB queries using < 5MB ram. For my home stuff I'm using Rocket and OMG it's amazing. Guards are 💯. It does need nightly to compile but I've had no problems so far.

I imagine with proc_macros now being stable in 1.30 the nightly requirement will soon go away. I hope, at least. I use Actix for its asynchronous nature and Future support, but Rocket is amazing and I would absolutely switch to it if it moved to support an async model.

I'm too much into Rocket. But is it only me having hard time trying to compile the stuff on Windows w/ msvc?

I'm compiling v0.3.17 of Rocket and it seems to be an issue with Ring: error: failed to run custom build command for `ring v0.11.0` process didn't exit successfully: `C:\src\Rocket\target\debug\build\ring-31e9e8cfd5ca9b4d\build-script-build` (exit code: 101)pic.twitter.com/AyQLFwXWiZ

I got that too! Rocket needs a new release. Sergio just put out a preview of 0.4 though! So soon.

You can also go back a version of nightly and it should be fine. I recommend the per directory override described here https://rocket.rs/v0.4/guide/getting-started/#installing-rust …

Thanks. I'm fine with the v0.4.0-rc1 for now.
