Depends on what you mean. Shell scripts are... written in the shell’s language. But you could use Rust to accomplish similar tasks.

I can use #!/usr/bin/env xxx in first line to have program xxx interpret the script, regardless of what shell I'm in. What's missing is a Rust interpreter (no compile) or a on-the-fly compiler that caches the binary for following runs and recompile when the script is changed :)
