What I thought would happen: I will quickly explain how actix_web's extractors work and then I'll spend the rest of the chapter on sqlx and databases in . What happened, 3500 words later: it turns our there is **a lot to unpack** when talking about extractors.

The ebur128 crate is now a pure Rust implementation of the EBU R128 loudness standard. I've ported the libebur128 C code to Rust over the last few weeks. API and performance stays the same, and it also provides exactly the same results.

Here's my best guess. Can you beat me? 1) A Pentium 60 (1993) running Debian Jessie. 2) A Pentium Pro (1995) running Debian Squeeze.

Today's nerd-snipe: 1) What is the oldest machine for which you can compile rust to native binaries? 2) What is the oldest machine you can natively run rustc on? Emulators are not allowed.

What is the correct borrowing trait to impl for a wrapper type that enforces an invariant (i.e. NonZero*) but where otherwise you want it to be usable anywhere the inner type is usable? (note: poll, not quiz)

I refactored my CLI app last night to use thiserror and anyhow, and now the code is simpler AND the binary output is smaller! 🦀🎉

My first task when I joined was to improve internal tools for error reporting in PHP. Years later I've used that experience to contribute to Rust's RFC, and now it's released as #[track_caller] feature.
