and as i read #onhere a while back, how fucked up is it that we have employers threatening us with technology (TAKE UR SHITTY PAY AND SHITTY BENEFITS AND BE GLAD ABOUT IT!!!) instead of all of us celebrating that we can cut back workers work to 30 hrs a week, or 10 hrs, or none!
yay! computers can take over that job now, so more of us will be able to just enjoy being fucking alive! rather than 'computers took over our jobs and now the city is dead and we're all empovershed'
like--what would it take for us to do the former? to get machines to take over the work so we can do the human stuff like grow gardens, paint art, make music, raise our children, rebuild our cities, etc.
i'm guessing 'give up capitalism' would be a big thing we'd have to do, but i'd be willing to sacrifice for the cause.
