BARRY is basically a perfect show and I want it to go on forever. But it would be sad to see it spin out so I applaud Hader for knowing when to wrap it up.

Recently read King’s “Billy Summers” and now, halfway through “11/22/63” I have accepted that I am basically reading the same book again.

I'm just a man trying to understand why a family restaurant in Missouri expects me to pay $11 for pretzel bites.

I watched all five SCREAM movies this week and what haunts me the most is someone using a Sidekick at the beginning of 4.

Oh my god, I've never heard any of this: David Lynch and Steve Hodges, drummer on the amazing FWWM track "The Pink Room," talking about that movie, RONNIE ROCKET, and even UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD by Wim Wenders. youtube.com/watch?v=ya9Goz

Replying to @ScottWamplerRIP
I'm dying to someday hear the music Lynch wrote with the "Pink Room" band members for his never-made RONNIE ROCKET project.

We talk about the ROCKY and CREED movies at length this week. Includes a favorite story: of how Rocky's museum steps sequence exists mainly because of early Steadicam test footage.

Florida is setting a record for most bills proposed that blatantly violate the First Amendment. And even by Florida standards, this proposed law is egregiously unconstitutional and offensive.

Obviously I know the bad backstage changes here but for a while there were still people I knew and liked working at AVC. So I continued to kinda follow. Now the total irrelevance just makes me sad.

It's always cute how Gmail's search function is like a drunk old librarian that no one has the heart to let go. "I see you want 'movie screening...' here's one from 2013, nothing since then. One time you did mention 'window screens,' maybe that works?"

This article, on the dire state of projection in many of America’s movie theater chains, needed to be written, and I’m so glad Lane Brown was the one to do it. vulture.com/2023/03/movie-

Reminds me that I still want to do an insane person's GR podcast so I guess it's gonna have to be me and Jordan.

In 90 minutes it will no longer be the 50th anniversary of Gravity's Rainbow, and if I don't act soon I'll miss my opportunity to casually mention on social media that I have, in fact, read it.
