"It's not a gun problem, it's a culture problem." Alright, I'll bite. Let's talk about redlining and toxic masculinity. "I meant video games and rap music." Oh. Hey, is that guy behind you drawing a swastika on himself? "Yeah he's not the problem either." Huh.
Yep, there's very little education surrounding social media at a young age. I suspect it's because the previous generation, unless they're nerds like us, don't really have the tools.

Outlets for kids to talk with someone needs to be easier and the word spread. An app with counseling geared towards our youth would be a start. Kids are more likely to talk behind their keyboard then ask their parents to take them for counseling.

That's because these parents don't talk to their kids. They expect everyone else to raise their kids. We've created a society that can't have a discussion on or how handle their emotions. 30 years ago people started talking about letting TV raise kids. We are seeing the results.

I agree with everything but the nerds lol. But yeah. Knowing the behaviors from IRC, chat rooms, IM, Xbox Live, forums, to social media makes us understand the environment our kids are subjected to. I think about the hate I've seen and how it grows in an unchecked environment.

I agree it's not something the schools seem to do much about. They touch on it in my town but a Nationwide standard of information for all kids and their parents needs to be created.
