As disgusting as this train of thought is, I'm way more likely to ensure my kids both have a phone with them in school and know all of the different things to do in a crisis after this event.

The kids were terrified and stressed beyond words. As a former teenager of a digital age, when I'm stressed, I would run straight to Facebook, and these kids ran straight to Twitter and Snapchat. They wanted to share what they were experiencing, the screams in classrooms.

And while I'm pissed I'm going to have to hear kids crying in a class as shots rang out during my newscasts, I'm glad the students filmed it. I'm pissed at the leaders that keep letting this happen. I'm pissed that we keep having these and nothing happens.

I've talked to 17 about how to exit venues in case if shootings or fires. I told her to be near exits, always have phone on (in Google maps you can enable location sharing with select ppl), etc.

If Oompa can tweet while eating a cheeseburger, sitting on a toilet while Fox and Friends slobber over him, those babies could tweet their fear and terror

There don't seem to be many media sent out to the scenes of devastation as concerned with the victims as they are with how it might affect their careers these days. It doesn't seem to be ideological. FOX/CNN are equally as bad.
