Andy Rubin's "leave of absence" from Essential, following a story regarding an inappropriate relationship he had while at Google, lasted nine days. That's not even a particularly long vacation, and his story was largely background noise to begin with.
My only issue with that is timing. The leave didn't start when he was asked about it, but instead when the story was going live. Didn't really feel like an investigative process took place, but I could he missing details so hard to say

he probably had pressure from the company to lay back. I mean, when the heat is on (justified or not) you lay low.
