Oculus Go is using an LCD panel, deviating from the AMOLED norm in VR. Interesting to hear @ID_AA_Carmack break down the downsides to AMOLED
Reduces screen door effect, no deep black problems. There is a contrast/latency trade-off but Carmack calls it a "net win"

Always love his candidness, i.e. how much he wasn't a fan of the Fresnel lenses in the Rift. Love hearing about the tradeoff choices.
