Forgot a detail. It is against this little girls religion to cut her hair, something she's never been shy about when discussing in class.

I have very few details about the incident itself, am patiently waiting to talk to the school myself, but it's hard to not fear the worst.

Is it possible this kid attacked this other kid because she's brown and talked about a non-Christian religion? I hope so hard that it's not.

While also a terrible thing, I want this to be a kid with a bad prank and to be mad at teachers for dismissing it as "boys will be boys"

I guess I'll find out on Monday. Would appreciate any opinions on how you'd proceed as a parent.

I'm married to a teacher, & you'd be horrified what parents accuse teachers of. Persist, but be skeptical of all stories.
