If your take on this whole Google/Fitbit thing is a gesture towards Google graveyard, congrats on the least interesting and most out of touch take possible outside of the privacy zealots encouraging you to pull your data from the Fitbit software before the acquisition finishes.
I think it's a fair shot at Google as a whole, but still ignores the wildly different direction Osterloh seems to be taking the hardware division. And so far he's been given considerable flex to shake things up.

yeah i know nothing about fitbit. if they weren't profitable, my guess is they have like 2 years before they become another moto. afaik, their only successful hardware acquisition has been nest.
