The nerves along the scar on my one leg are coming back to life and it feels r e a l l y b a d and there’s not much I can do about it but whine on Twitter. It’s really cool, the occasional spasm followed by a stabbing feeling from the inside.

Yuck. This might help. Emphasis on might. http://centerforthereliefofpain.org/desensitization-techniques-neuropathic-nerve-pain/ … Making your nerves do their job may help alleviate some of the sensations.

I had a lot of pain because a nerve was exposed on my scar line after my wrist reconstruction. Desensitization helped a lot. I started with rubbing moleskin cause cotton balls may as well have be fire balls for how they felt. Vitamin E rubbed into the scar helped a lot.

Also, keep it hidden from the sun. If you only listen to one piece of advice, don't get sunburned nerve-y scar tissue, it is absurdly painful.

I don't spend a lot of time outside with no pants on, so we're good there.
