So, one I've used combines internal temperature sensors with a connected meat thermometer to give a better idea of how things are cooking. There are obviously other ways to get this same result, but I find value in the integrated solution. Don't need the camera, that's nonsense.
I can see the connected meat thermometer thing, but for the most part I've found if something says "cook this at X temp for 3 hours, then check meat thermometer" I can just set a timer for 3 hours and come back and check it. Like, it *should* be done then.
I hear you, but I also have owned ovens with weird temp variances that have made making some of my favorite dishes a nightmare. I don't think smart ovens are 100% there yet even for early adopters (obviously with this news) but it's an idea I'm largely a fan of
