Personally, I don't see any show moving from broadcast to streaming (exclusively) as a bad thing. I think I'm more than okay with this as long as they don't just have a crappy ending.

Yeah I don't think it changes my opinion of a show, this is just the first time I can think of where a show moved to streaming without having first been cancelled.

It was already on Hulu, that's where I've been watching it, so putting it on Hulu exclusively isn't an upgrade, it's a downgrade from also having it on Fox.

A couple of thoughts & a few answers. Was it not performing well on Fox? - No, it wasn't. Ratings dropped 1/3 YTY for the premiere & 1/5 on finale S1->2. It avg 0.7 live+same day DVR. Industry credited FOX relationship w MacFarlane & long tail/rewatch for renewal

I seriously hate all these pay subscriptions. there are 2 many different shows I want to watch that will be on 2 many different subscription services. I loved the Orville but I already have Netflix and will get Disney+. I can't also get Hulu and CBS All Access for new Star Trek

I read that it wasn't going to be ready in time for a fall release and so they moved it to Hulu when it can air when it's ready. Actually getting extra funds from what that statement read I believe.
