Weird grumpy review of Wizards Unite from someone who both didn't like Pokemon Go and openly admits to not having touched the thing he compares this new game to since its launch. There is so much hilariously wrong with this.pic.twitter.com/PWac0XhtE8

First off, Pokemon Go has had literally hundreds of significant gameplay changes and additions since launch. It's nowhere near the same game it was when this guy played it, so what does his comparing Wizards to Go even mean? Basically nothing.

Second, Niantic hasn't been shy about Wizards Unite being built on the same engine as Pokemon Go. Surprise, Ingress Prime is as well. All three games share a codebase on purpose. For Niantic, that's a feature.

Like, what's the strategy here? What's the value in shouting FIRST in publishing your review of the game if the writer is going to shit on it with very little understanding of who the game was made for? Given the very niche nature of this website and its audience, weird flex.

I haven't played Wizards Unite, and Harry Potter isn't really my jam, but if you think launch weekend in the US isn't going to be filled with scores of people dressed up LOVING this experience you're out of your damn mind. This will get people outside all summer, count on it.

When Pokémon Go first came out there were scores of people all over town playing it. This will be even bigger.

I predicted long ago that I could see HP being bigger then Pokemon GO. The only thing that I could see stopping it doing that is a staged roll out! Still a very large user base of Pokemon Go players by the way! See them everywhere if you know what your looking for!

.@NianticLabs are experts at keeping things fresh and in fact are getting better at it all the time with Go. Can't wait to see how they do that with Storylines with Potter. In fact, would love to see the Potter folks support it with Storyline and out of game content like Ingress!

For like two months, then it gets old, boring, just like Pokemon Go, its half ass AR. We need real immersion and i am sick of the tech industry using half their butts on these games and getting so much money out of people who get sucked in.

The only thing that ended pokemon go in Ellicott City is when a flood happened that destroyed the downtown, and there's still people there for community day, just not a huge horde of people

Playing the beta in Australia, no, it won't. People simply don't care.

Can't agree. Solid community for the little publised beta! Wait till they turn the promotional machine on behind it! It will be a snowball effect!
