"Why didn't they call it 'Google Something' why #Stadia? That sounds like something you ask your doctor about."
Ah. Yes. Unlike the word Google, which came into the world as a totally known thing everyone understood and it wasn't weird or mocked at all.

Stadium is a place, we're not places, we're people tho. Stadia sounds good if it's a big streamer, and everyone gather around them to see them playing, but 99% of the
#stadia users won't have anyone watching them... Empty stadium?

But I don't know why people don't like it anyway, I agree with you that a new word/concept is born, we will unite both the word and the service behind it... Let's hope
#stadia won't be one of many other google words brought and buried... Google Wave anyone??

I think the tie is with YouTube coupled with the name hint this could be more about eSports watching more than the playing of the games. Perhaps trying to recreate what your favorite YouTube gamer just showed you will be a bigger draw than what competitors can do.
