Not that he woulsnt befriend you lol. He wasnt elietist. He was just saying it was easier to make friends with creators than it was someone who doesnt understand the field. You have to explain so much to someone outside the Industry to discuss the industry itself.

I dunno. It seems subjective. I find it a lot easier to discuss creative things with other creative people. But clearly I have pretty terrible social anxiety eo maybe it's just me. If you dont find that to be true for yourself i hope you respect it is true for me.

It's pretty common in a lot of creative -focused industries. Reenactors frequently friends "mundanes" as shorthand for people who don't dress up, so industry folks know how to act around them. Never meant to be insulting, just makes a handful of frequent conversations go faster
